OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scanning is a non-invasice imaging technique used to examine the back of the eye, specifically the retina, optic nerve and other eye structures. It uses light waves to create detailed 3D images, allowing for the early detection and monitoring of eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy.
