Prescribing Noctura 400

Use an FP10 or ETP to prescribe Noctura 400 to your patients. Since the prescription is for 'supply and service', the patients telephone number will be required. If possible please provide this to the dispenser. 

Noctura 400 is listed within DM+D and EPS systems. 

Noctura 400 can be prescribed to patients over the age of 18 with;

  • Mild to moderate non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (grade R2L)

  • Early, untreated and progressive diabetic macular oedema (grade M1)

  • Pre-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (grade R2H)

  • Post-treatment stable proliferative retinopathy (R3S)

You should have your patients Diabetic Eye Grading on record as supplied from Diabetic Eye Screening or the Hospital Eye Service

Noctura 400 is provided as a ‘Supply and Service’. 

The prescription process is as follows:

  1. Noctura 400 is prescribed on an FP10 or ETP and received by a pharmacy / dispenser
  2. The patient must confirm/provide their contact details with the pharmacy / dispenser
  3. Clarity Pharma will receive a copy of the FP10, or ETP from Pharmacy, this might not have the
    patient telephone number, so Clarity will then ask the Pharmacy to provide this.
  4. Clarity will pass on the information as an instruction to supply to PolyPhotonix Medical (Noctura 400 manufacturer)*. 
  5. PolyPhotonix Medical (Noctura 400 manufacturer) will contact the patient directly to set up the device and the provide support 
  6. PolyPhotonix Medical (Noctura 400 manufacturer) sends the device directly to the patient and delivery confirmation to Clarity Pharma.
  7. Clarity Pharma will forward delivery confirmation to the Pharmacies, GPs, Dispensaries, Clinics or Hospitals, who can then confirm the item as dispensed on their systems and claim reimbursement
